Two simple techniques to make pop up cards, books, and toys. By cutting tabs on the fold, the tab can be pushed in or out to make it pop up. Shapes can be glued to the tab, or tabs can be cut in odd shapes. Get some paper and some glue, and experiment cutting tabs on folds, and seeing what you come up with. You’ll be surprised how much fun this can be. Just scissors and scrap paper is all...

Building the UFO / Evil Bug / Octopus
UFO / Evil Bug / Octopus Building Tips: *If you want a two sided toy: fold and glue both squares together and allow to dry. *It is best to fold square before you cut the slits. *You want every fold to go both ways. Crease paper well so each fold is a hinge that moves with ease. This toy turns inside out and every fold has to easily go both ways. If you can cut out a square, cut a straight line,...

These type of folds are a combination of pop-up book craft, paper puppet, and paper toy all in one. No glue needed unless you print and make a two sided critter. If you do this, be sure faces line up on same side when you glue...

Big Foot Animation →
Big Foot decides to give paper crafting a try. Sure he’s got scissors and glue, but a lot can go wrong. It’s not as easy as it looks, and not as hard… he does find a few obstacles.  Dealing with the natural elements, crazy pets, and sheer incompetence, Big Foot does rather well with his new paper toy creation from Print! Cut! Fold! Glue!

How to build my latest Paper Toy. Step by step instruction video on how to build a paper Gomper by J.E.Moores. Watch as I cut off the instructions, completely ignore them and do a couple things out of order. Such as: be sure to cut the mouth hole and make slits to hold the arms before you glue the Gomper’s body together. Here’s some proper instructions: Cut out rectangles with arms...
