I wanted Humpty Falls to look like one of those really old toys that has all the paint worn off. I was so fascinated by old toys on the farm I grew up on. The only paint left on those old toys is deep in the recesses. The antique process reminds me of print making. Rubbing all that paint on and off.

Stages to make this toy:

1. terra cotta clay
2. bisque fire
3. glaze fire
4. silicone mold
5. hand cast white plastic
6. paint to bring out details

I use Smooth-on.com products. Rebound 25 brush-on silicone mold, with Smoothcast 300 (opaque) or 325 (clear) polyurethane plastic. I learned most of what I know about casting resin toys from the smooth-on youtube videos.
