I started out over a decade ago collecting vinyl Kaiju from the Toho Godzilla series. Especially Mothra and The Peanut Sisters. I love those little fairy girls that sing to Mothra. Recently Super7 has all these great clear vinyl toys, and I love them all. I collect Bryan Flynn’s Ghostland characters, and I love Gargamel’s Kaiju designs. Here we have Zagoran. The clear red Pocket Zagoran is exactly how I purchased it, but the little baby Zagoran was spray painted by me using Fusion spray paint and Testor’s model paint for eyes, teeth and claw details. The teeny tiny 1.5” tall baby Zagoran is sold unpainted in a solid baby blue color. I took him apart, set halves on two chop sticks, and hit him with all 3 primary colors. Spray painting something this small is nuts and only possible with fast kung-fu moves. Seems a fitting technique for painting Kaiju.
