12 Paper Toys by J.E.Moores. This is a large over size calendar printed by CafePress. Each page is blank white on the reverse side. High quality printing on card stock perfect for making paper toys. I thought, hey, it would be cool to put my paper toys on that calendar, so I did. My Gompers are very hungry, so please buy several to give as gifts!!! Cut ‘em up and have fun!

I have a box of old business cards. I like to use them to “scissor sketch” with. I’m just sitting here making different pop up faces. They kinda remind me of Jack O Lanterns.

Space Cadet poseable paper pop up action figures. These could be the most difficult paper toys to write instructions for yet… The face and chest are triangle pop ups, and each joint of the arms and legs get a hinge pop up. They sort of build them self once you cut them out and fold all the tabs… so it’s easier to do than to explain.

Two simple techniques to make pop up cards, books, and toys. By cutting tabs on the fold, the tab can be pushed in or out to make it pop up. Shapes can be glued to the tab, or tabs can be cut in odd shapes. Get some paper and some glue, and experiment cutting tabs on folds, and seeing what you come up with. You’ll be surprised how much fun this can be. Just scissors and scrap paper is all you need. Give it a try!
